Bucks Lake Recreation

The Bucks Lake area, 17 miles southwest of Quincy, is the centerpiece of recreation for central Plumas County. There are two cozy lodges with dining and lodging; there is a bed and breakfast and a marina with cabins and boat rentals. Recreational uses include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fishing, camping, hiking and water sports. Enthusiasts enjoy this area in the winter, spring, summer and fall. During the winter, Bucks Lake is a premiere destination for snowmobilers and cross-country skiers, with staging facilities and 75 miles of groomed trails with great snow. The Pacific Crest Trail also crosses the Bucks Lake path.
