We are looking for volunteers to assist in managing the staging area, providing traffic control, and serving as judges. If you have some time to lend a hand, please reach out to us through the website, give us a call, or just stop by The Quincy Hub to sign up.
A Main Street Tradition

Since 1945, the Plumas County Fair Parade has been a Main Street fixture in our small town of Quincy, California. For as long as we can remember, it has been a major part of the annual fair, affectionately known as “The Last Best Little County Fair” in California. Years ago, when the state reduced funding to fairs, Sierra County could no longer afford to host their own. We proudly combined our fair with theirs, creating the Plumas-Sierra County Fair we know and love today.
We’ve had some pretty fantastic floats, crazy clowns, prancing ponies, and dancing divas throughout the years. Each summer, we are thrilled to see our classic favorites return alongside exciting new entries!
It Takes a Village
Coordinating a big event takes a massive amount of help from people and local agencies. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Plumas County Board of Supervisors, CalTrans, the Plumas County Department of Public Works, the California Highway Patrol, and the Plumas County Sheriff's Office for their ongoing assistance.
